Sacramento Shakespeare Festival 2007
Macbeth and the Comedy of Errors
For its 22nd season in William Land Park, the Sacramento Shakespeare Festival 2007, produced by City Theatre at Sacramento City College, presents Macbeth and The Comedy of Errors.
Macbeth is directed by Kim McCann, and will be set in the present day with overtones of Japanese Kabuki and Noh Theatre. The Comedy of Errors is directed by Luther Hanson, and will be set in turn-of-the-century Paris nearby to the Moulin Rouge.
Macbeth opens Friday, June 29, and plays again June 30, July 13, 15, 20, 22, 27, and August 2 and 4. The Comedy of Errors opens Friday, July 6, and plays again July 7, 14, 19, 21, 26, 29, and August 3 and 5. There is no show on Saturday, July 28, because of Ice Cream Safari.
Tickets for all shows are $15 general admission and $10 for students, seniors, SARTA members, and persons with disabilities. Children from ages 6 to 12 are free. Children under six are not admitted. No reservations are taken for the Festival except for large groups. Parking is $2 per car. All performances are in the William A. Carroll Amphitheatre in William Land Park. The Box Office opens at 6 p.m. each night, the gates open at 6:30 p.m., and the performances begin at 8:00 p.m. This is a new starting time. Some concessions will be available.
